Originally from Newcastle upon Tyne, I now work from my home studio in Balsall Heath in Birmingham, which is a very multicultural suburb next door to the very creative and vibrant Moseley Village.

In 1990 I started a career path in design, gaining several qualifications, and then attained a Degree in Fine Art from the University of Wolverhampton in 1998. Moving to Birmingham in 2000, I worked as a graphic designer within several industries, and in my spare time ran an artist collective - organising art markets and curating exhibitions. Chronic illness stopped me from working and the collective had to take a back seat, but creating art was always my main focus.

In 2016 I turned back towards my Fine Art Degree and became a self-employed artist - although it's a struggle, it's wonderful doing the thing that you love the most!

Primarily a printmaker, specialising in monotypes, relief work and stencil art, I also branch out into paintings, drawings and digital work. Using photography and found images, the initial ideas are collaged together on a computer and then sketched on a larger scale - then taken in to print. Because the medium of printmaking - particularly monotyping - is so chaotic, each piece is totally unique and special and no two artworks are the same.

I regularly take part in art markets and craft fairs, including Moseley Art Market, The MAC Contemporary Craft Fair and the Birmingham Etsy Makers Market. My work is also available in the Kitchen Garden Shop on York Road in Kings Heath and Finegan's Rainbow in Selly Park, both in Birmingham.

As well as coming up with new designs and images to feature on apparel and merchandise, I currently have several other big projects that I am working on that will be realised in the near future.
